Iwo Jima named back to Iwo To.....what?

So...Iwo Jima used to be called "Iwo To" back before the war and there were about 1 thousand people living on the island. Now, the Japanese have renamed it back to Iwo To because the people who used to live there began complaining about it after the release of the two Clint Eastwood films including the island. I'm like...what? Most if not all of those original thousand people have got to be dead by now.

Marilyn Manson Concert

For those Manson fans that haven't heard yet, Manson tickets are on sale right now for the US tour. He's also busy touring Europe at the moment I believe. I don't really care about that because I don't live in Europe anymore. When I was in Berlin back in the 80s, Michael Jackson was touring and went there. That was way back when he was black and was actually a superstar. Now he's like 49 years old. Ok so anyway uhhhhhhhh....
Manson tickets are on sale. The only thing that's sort of a turnoff for me is that it's also a Slayer concert. Now, it's at the Coors Ampitheatre in Denver and sometimes they'll have more than one concert going on at the same time. For example, they'll have 4 or 5 stages set up at different places in the area and have everyone jamming. I'm hoping they don't have Slayer on the mainstage before Manson because I'd like to avoid Slayer and all of their fans as best I can. Most Slayer fans I know say "Manson sucks!" but they will probably still show up to see Slayer. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll all leave before Manson comes out.
If you've been to a Manson concert before, you might know that he enjoys keeping people waiting. It was a good 2 hours at his last concert between the opener and when he came out. He did fall and bust his ass when he was on the stilts though. Freakin' sweet. I'm sure he went back stage and cussed a bunch of people out about that. Ok so uhhhh.....
It's August 18th and I don't want to see Slayer. That is all.

What a Douchbag : Joe Francis

He's the guy behind the "Girls Gone Wild" videos and more notably, the annoying commercials that come on around midnight for his self promotion. What gets me is that these girls KNOW who he is and KNOW what the videos are all about and what the guys with the cameras are there for and they knowingly do whatever they are told and most of the time make up their own ideas on what to do and then there are girls who turn around later and want to sue. Whatever. You're just mad because his videos didn't make you a hollywood superstar like you thought. You figured "oh..I just have to show my tits and get on some skanky low budget DVD and I'll be shot into stardom". You're an idiot. Now you want to sue Joe Francis for proving to you that you're an idiot.

Review Modification: MotoGP 06

I don't remember if I made a review of Moto GP 06 on the 360 or not and I'm too lazy to search through my past blog entries to find out. I know for certain that I meant to though. And it wasn't going to be a good review. After playing the demo once or twice and doing quite poorly, I felt that the game had alot of potential. I wound up finding a great deal for the game for 12 bux on Amazon.com something like 9 months ago. I received it but also bought 4 or 5 other games around the same time and MotoGP 06 sat unopened for 8 months and 27 days. So 3 days ago, I opened it and threw it in because I got bored with Rainbow 6 Vegas, Halo 2 and Call of Duty 2 and 3. Enough with shooters for a few days, I said. Well...after forcing myself to play it for a couple of hours I can say there is definitely a steep learning curve to this game. Took me a very long time before I stopped running completely off the road at EVERY freakin' turn. But, once I learned to utilize the front and rear brakes independently, something completely new to me, I had new found control of my bike. Suddenly, I began winning Grand Prix races by more than half a lap. I even lapped a few of the other racers. I also beat all the challenges so far including the "follow the leader" which can be quite difficult to a newbie like me.
Now, I'm all addicted to this previously unliked game. The sense of speed is fantastic. The controls are very savy and easy to manipulate in order to do what you want. I'm particularly fond of the controlled powerslide. This game is tons of fun once you have an idea of how to control your bike. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys racers. Word of caution however: Don't attempt to go online until you've unlocked some fast bikes. I thought I was doing great in career mode so I jumped online and I got smoked by about half a lap by about half the people I was playing against in an 8 player game. I did beat several people, however I feel they must have either been 4 year olds or people who just got the game. I kept seeing their poor bikes fly off the course in the tight turns.

What's the Deal with That?

How come at work, when I'm sitting in an area all by myself and I bust ass, someone inevitably comes around the corner and needs something from me? Then they complain about me busting ass. I have to explain that I was all by myself minding my own business busting ass and they had no right to complain.
